Cowboy George On Tour
Not only is Cowboy George a great historian of the old west, but he's a great story-teller of true cowboy and old-west stories.
Nevada elementary schools and colleges have invited Cowboy George to their cowboy events to speak to students around bon-fires, in classrooms and in auditoriums.If you think your 3rd graders couldn't sit still for an hour or two, you could be wrong. He has them laughing, crying and mesmerized with his tales of the old west.
Besides his very interesting stories, he explains why cowboys wear cowboy hats, chaps, boots and more. He gives a history lesson on each prop he brings along. After his talk, almost every student has their hand raised to ask questions. What kind of questions? What are your horses names? How long have you been a cowboy? Can anybody be a cowboy?
You can have him come to your school at any time and pay his travel expenses.
Now that most schools are out for the year, there's always summer camps and other events you can call on Cowboy George to attend.
After the Fall, Cowboy George will be traveling east, so if you are in the middle mid-west or east coast, you can arrange for Cowboy George to visit your school (November, December or January).
